I have an active ActiveX control on a form.

I have tried to put some buttons on top of it. I can bring the buttons to front and send the activeX control to back and the result can be seen in design view. But when it is loaded the bottons are behind the active x control.

Has anyone had this experience before?

What type of ActiveX control are you using?

Sure, it's called the nature of the Access beast! You cannot place anything on top of an ActiveX control. You also cannot places controls in front of Comboboxes or Listboxes. All of these devices are intended to be used to do something, such as select an item/data, date, etc. and Access doesn't want this ability impaired. About the only allowed manipulation of the control, as a whole, is to make it visible/invisible.

Sorry!

The Google Earth ActiveX Control - I have a post about it in general and will put something there once I learn how to "fly it". I am just learning to translate JavaScript at the moment.

Point taken. BUt that is a shame cause the control I am using has a nice back ground and it would suit having access controls (buttons and text on top of it)

I understand what you're saying, darbid, but it is what it is!

World peace and justice for all would be nice, too, but despite the best efforts of my generation for the last 50 years, it doesn't look like it's going to happen, either, in my lifetime!

Good luck to you, my friend!

Ok -

and off topic - Someone once told me (a long time ago) "Fighting for Peace is like F--king for Virginity."
