adding tables to a split Database

Im trying to add 2 new tables to a split and linked database... but no matter which side i add the table to (BE or FE), it wont show up in the linked table manager.. so my question is 1.) is there some trick to getting it to show up in the link manager? or 2.) is there some way to re-merge the database, add the new tables.. and then split it again?

You need to add your tables to the tabledefs collection. Perhaps this can get you moving in the right direction.

The linked table manager only shows the tables that have been linked doesn't it? So have you linked the two tables, ie file, get external data, link tables.

i think ive been through that but ill give it a shot just incase
