Hi all,

I have an old program with ade file extension and I would like to add some filters in one of the forms but I don't have design view or layout view option.

what can I do?

do you mean .mde?

If so, then unfortunately this is not possible, forms and reports cannot be edited in .mde as they are precompiled - you'll need to go back to the original .mdb and make the changes there.

If you do not have the orginal .mdb you might be able to find some help on the web to decompile the .mde to a .mdb but I don't know what it costs or how successful they are.

However you can edit the query if the form refers to a query as it's recordsource, but I doubt you will be able to refer to anything on the form for filtering purposes.

Hi,

it's actuall an ade. file. I think it's Access 2003 program.
I don't want the VBA code , I just want to edit one form. I'm sure that there is a software that does that for me.

G'day kes,

the .ade file extention refers to a compiled access data base and as far as i know cannot be converted back to an editable database. you can still use it but not edit the structure.
