Hi

My Access 97 application is on our sharedrive. But my problem is whoever access that database CurrentUser is always ADMIN

Why is that?

How could I actually fix that so the user on the certain machine would be captured?

THanks

You need to set a database password and define security for the db. This will require all users to sign on when they open the db. You don't necessarily need to secure the individual db objects but you do need to establish all the users and their passwords.

You will then need to create a desktop shortcut for them to use when opening the db so that they join the appropriate workgroup.

Read all about security and make backups of your db and keep them in a safe place before you start messing with security. It is entirely too easy to lock yourself out of your own db.

The archives here contain many references to Access security and the Microsoft knowledge base also contains articles that you MUST read including one that gives you step-by-step instructions.
