Guys,

It's good to be back after a long break!

I have had a quick look over the threads that I have missed and see that you are all still getting on like a house on fire, a fire that has been started diliberatly using petrol and fire lighters:D :D :D

So how are relations between us British and our American cousins doin?

Will the instatment of Brown over Blair be a turning point in Anglo relations?

Will the US back the UK in the Polonium issue with Russia?

When the hell will we eradicate all the terrorist extremist scum from both our societies?

When will the common British person learn not to point the finger at every Muslim and brand him/her a terrorist?

When the hell are we going to pull our troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan?

Once pulled are we then going to invade Iran?

So many questions I know, but then I have been away for six months, so fought I needed to catch up:)

Wonderful

No the puppet strings are firmly attached

Will the US back the UK in the Polonium issue with Russia?
Not relevant. Russia said "sod off"

When the hell will we eradicate all the terrorist extremist scum from both our societies?
When governments realise that you cannot deal with uncivilised people in a civilised manner

When will the common British person learn not to point the finger at every Muslim and brand him/her a terrorist?
see above

When oil gets short

I hope you've got your tin hat on, the flack from overseas is intense, but we've put in the call for more troops to deal with it. I suspect though it's going to be a long uphill struggle;)

that was a real hand grenade post ...
pull the pin and see what happens --so far its only been the Brits who have answer

Any Stateside want to chip in ??

Maybe it was a bit of a dud..... maybe delayed action.....maybe "others" are planning the campaign.....but are a bit short of resource

Strangly there have been no retorts to this thread from my neighbours south of the 49th parallel...

...but be sure there is some rumbling and grumbling like your tummy after an evening of bangers n beans washed down with too many brown ales in a cheap pub...

Cheap pubs - boy that brings back some memories .... those days have gone

now a days its arty farty food, looks pretty, but not enough of it and taste bland

well considering the original post was at 3am my time when I was snug in my bed I can see why there werent many posts til now. I just got into the office about 45 minutes ago.

I think relations are going great a little give and take as usual in the stickin it to persona department but nothing unusual there.

who is the Puppet Master between Brit and US?:D

Time zone issues, and I thought that was settled in the Flame Time thread...

Malik bin Saleh abd-al-haqq rules America from Londonistan. Now all His subjects have to work on Sunday, but Friday is holiday. Long live King Malik!!

You could have gone out with me for a quick spin on the bike last night and sat on the quay eating pub fish'n chips:cool: :p

I just had surgery on the old gums - so I'd have to have mushy peas yuck...

much rather have the fish'n'chips - sat on the quay- with a beer - weather was great for it - but it's going to piss down over the weekend and its soup for me ..

Will the US back the UK in the Polonium issue with Russia?

The US has no intention of backing the Uk against the Russian diplomatic row.

Putin has likened Bush's foreign policy to the Third Reich, yet still the US refuses to be drawn into things - I wonder why. . . . . . . . .

Ah yes, all is explained here in the 3rd from last para.

Russia’s energy supplies are vital to US interests and the White House is keen to maintain reasonable relations.

BTW, have a look at the "have your say" comments at the bottom - Peter from Portsmouth says
"Typical, we help them in Iraq, Afganistan and the "War on Terror" and they run away like school kids from a playground fight just as the teachers come."

It actually shows it's not just me and Rich that have anti-Bush (not anti-American) feelings

I dont think that the Americans like Bush much now either:mad:

Our kindred foriegn policy is not conducive to a safe and peaceful society for British citizens.

Although the extremists pulled a wrong un when they attempted to strike Glasgow, only a Glaswegian would put the boot into a man lying on the floor on fire:D :D

Shame they didnt rush with some lighter fluid and poor that on him first:D :D

mmmmmmmmm fish and chips and a nice pint of Guinness. ok do I need a passport to come to the UK? dont worry I will tell anyone I meet I am Canadian if I hang out with you and Col, Rich

Don't say French-Canadian though:rolleyes: Best not to mention the Frogs whilst in the UK.

Why?

1) The Frogs hate the Brits and we're not partial to them either.

2) Mention French-Canadian and it gives the impression you prefer the French bit and want to lose the Canadian (British Commonwealth) bit.
French-Canadians hate the Queen (God Bless Her) and want their own little country.

We'll know if he's more French than Canadian, as every loud bang will send him for cover waving a white flag :p
