Hi
I'm Annie and I'm new to this forum. I've been using MS Access in a pretty amateurish sort of way for many years and have written a few fairly basic databases. At work I use Access 2007 and at home Access 2010.

My hobby is cardmaking and I sell my cards in local hairdressing salons in my village. Also at craft fairs and bootfairs when I get my finger out. I also sell them online at one of the craft sites.

To keep track of them better, I've written a database where I record all the cards I make, with a photo, when I send them to which salon, when I retrieve them and when I sell them. Using this database, I know where my cards are at any one time, and hopefully (!) how many I've sold, how much many I've made (not much!) selling them and which ones sell best.

In my database I also keep a record of materials used for particular cards, and for the more difficult ones, I keep a note of the method used. For the cards I'm going to sell on line, I record the "description" so that I can copy and paste into the craft site.

My dream is to be a famous card designer and make enough money to be able to leave my full-time employment as a secretary. LOL - there's thousands and thousands of us out there so I'll just dream on.
That's me really. Married, 2 grown up children, 2nd one about to get married.
