hi

can anyone help i have created a database with one table and one form however i now realize i need more fields on my form so created a new table for them however when i go the the control property to link them to the control source on my new table i don't see it all i see is the source of my original table

now thats how you craft a run on sentence thats a pain to parse bonus points for only using one punctuation mark in the whole thing i think in your next post you should structure your sentences better and provide us with what you currently have for your tables/fields and then after we get those squared away we can talk about forms i fear you may have an improperly structured table and proceeding to build forms on those will only cause headaches down the line

Welcome to the Forum! :D

Yep, that is going to happen. You can't do it like that. Those two Tables must be part of the Recordsource for that Form.

That said, the bigger concern is one Table as even the simplest database require three to six Tables. Please post the what business data model you are using and/or Table with Fields and/or the actual file (remove any personal information first).

Sorry for the puntuation i was at work and trying to do both jobs.My database is really just a running log for a couple of staff members who look after a car park.there are a few maintaience tasks so my table did not need to be that big.there were fields that showed when they had collected litter etc.But the boss has decided to add those ,I originaly had one table which had fields like day of working and when litter was collected and when area was swept etc but now they want when glass areas have been cleaned and loads of other stuff so i thought i should create another table with all the extra maintanence. Is there anyway now i can access this table as if it was created at the same time as the original.any help is appreciated I am fairly new to this so it is all a learning curve

regards

You will need to relate those two tables and then join them in a single query and then use the query as the Recordsource for the Form.
