Any help for my wedding database?

Hello,

I just discovered your site today and I'm really excited!

I'm going to be making a database from scratch for my wedding that will also be for a project in my college computer science class.

Any helpful tips would be great. I know I'll be back with more specific questions.

Hello there, if you let me know what level of experience you have with designing an Access database, I can give you some pointers based on that info. Don't want to bore you or overload you.

The first question you need to ask is: What I'm I going to get out of this database?

Is it going to do Guest Tracking?
Mailing Lists
Envelopes
Seating chart
Track RSVPs

Is it going to do Budget Tracking?
How much for Flowers
How much for for Rentals (Hall/Church/Official)
How much per plate at the Reception

Once you know what you want out of it then you can begin to understand what you need to build into it.
