Good Night everyone.

I selected and dragged a field "Diivision1" to my report then I appended the word "Division". in the view mode nothing appears.

Alternative I used the Expression builder and enter the following: =[Division1] & " " & "Division" but nothing appear in the view.

Can this be easily solved?

Open the report in design view, then add the control to your report ad set the control source.

2 things are happening here which I would be happy to have explained.
1. In the design view I drag and drop the field “Division1” from the field list unto the report form. This show the expected results for example “Agriculture” i.e the list of text items in this field using the table as the data source. However when I append the word “Division” to “Division1” in that control to look like this “Division1 & “ “ & “Division” a dialog box pops up with the message “Enter a parameter value” when I click on view
2. I add an unbounded control. Then using the expression builder I apply the following to the control: = [Division1] & “ “ & “Division”. In the view report this is an example of what I get on the report: 2 Division. Numbers are appearing where name should be.

Yes you are correct; the field type is lookup. But what does that mean? Does it mean that the string values cannot appear? or is there another way? I do need to have the lookup field type.

Now you learn the evil of lookup field type, (I never use them).
Just now my only idea is, placing the word “Division” tight to the control/field.

Division” to “Division1” in that control to look like this “Division1 & “ “ & “Division” a dialog box pops up with the message “Enter a parameter value” when I click on view????

aaaaaaa

This is going to be more work than it's worth (and one of the reasons hardly anyone uses them)... Remove the Look-up Field at the Table Level and create a Look-up Table with your values.
