Hi there
In one table, there is one "Attachment" data field type.

I have uploaded some excel files and my problem is that when i try to open them,
it uses the MS ACCESS application, file opens as an MS Access object, not as an excel...
I can't find from which option i could fix this error.

I just tested this and it opens Excel app. Cannot replicate issue.

Embedding lots of files in table just uses up Access 2GB size limit. If there is any risk of reaching the limit, best to leave files external and save file path/name in text or hyperlink field.

The problem is that in the "open with" .xlsx files, the excel is default but ms access is also default and I can't find some way to remove ACCESS from recomended

Select an xlsx file in Explorer, right click and choose Properties, and 'Open With' Change button and select Excel.

Gasman, i did this, the problem is that I can't remove the ACCESS from recommended, I can add applications but I can't remove from existing.
So, two applications are recommended to open the xlsx files.
By the time I try to open an xlsx attachmnent, MS ACCESS uses the wrong app to open it.

There must be some other way in which someone can remove apps

Well the registry would be one way, but not recommended.

Try this first perhaps.?

maybe you opened an excel spreadsheet from access, and somehow checked the file association to "always use this app".

If so open control panel, and check and correct the file associations for .xls, .xlsx etc.

You might be able to fix it more easily by right clicking a spreadsheet, and selecting open with … to re-select the correct association.

Don't load the files into Access. Put them in a predictable folder based on where the tables are kept. Then store links to the file - not attachments, but hyperlinks. That might cause the association to be re-evaluated correctly.
