Attendance Database Table

Hi there

I have tblEmployees with all employee details
also, I am updating the template from microsoft for employee hours worked, however, the attendance I need to track of the employees is not per hours worked, I only need to summarize "days " worked, as they are paid per day

How could I do this in my table structure by not using hours?

any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated,

|I'm assuming your in the UK.

I have these questions:

1. So how would you deal with an employee who only works half a day or a quarter of a day.

2. What constitutes a day of work. There has to be a maximum number of hours in a day that an employee is permitted to work. Nobody works for 24 hours unless they are in the forces and even then, they have to have time off to rest.

Based on your information an employee could only work for 10 minutes and get paid for that whole day. I believe that this would be highly unlikely as I don't personally know of any employer would pay someone for only working such a short time for a full days pay. Therefore I don't think you could produce a workable attendance table on that basis.
