Auto pop textbox on 2nd form with same value as 1st form

One more thing, make your date fields, date time fields, then choose an input mask for them, it will help in the future.

Done ... I changed them all to date/time and I'm using the input mask of short date....

Update .....

Over the weekend I did some further analysis ..to ensure that I had captured everything and there is one thing that I originally thought that couldn't get incorporated but after investigating it might fit in.

I would like to create another table called "Monthly Score Card". In this table the employee would enter their monthly "highlights", "Upcoming Focus" and "Training"

Would it cause issues if I was to add this table?

Thank you in advance

Arv

K ... thank you ...

I created the new table....

also....

I don't know looked at one of my previous attachments that included a spreadsheet....

on that spreadsheet there is a tab called "KPI" which provides monthly totals .... in Access I would just create a query (date range based) that would provide me those results ..correct?

and now I start making forms .....

Post your db, let me check your relationships first.

As requested....

here it is

thank you

Just wondering ....

Can I go ahead and start creating the forms for the drop down tables?

For example ... Frequency, Hours, Status.... and etc ....

I won't touch the other tables ...such as Employeestbl, WeeklyScheduletbl...etc

or ... should I just shut up and wait .. :)

sorry ....I'm in a "zone" today

Let me post you my start. Check out the employee form I created, just for adding, editing an employee. You can do whatever you want. Just back up often in case you have to start over, or get corrupted.

Feel free to try stuff, no problem, it's your database after all, I just know it is easier for me to show you what I mean then to try to explain things. :)

True ... I will start creating the employee forms as your example illustrates..

Thank you again for your help

I am populating the subform using a couple of queries and some code, so look at my form in design view, look at the code behind it as well and look at the queries and how they are built.

Okay ...I know i'm doing something wrong ... I just can't figure it out ...

I have created 4 forms

1 - EmployeeWklySchdfrm

this is linked to the employeetbl and also has a subform based on a query of the WeeklyScheduletbl

2 - WeeklyScheduleEntryfrm

this is to enter new "tasks" into the WeeklyScheduletbl

Issue = I can't get the form to open up as "add new record" mode. It opens up but allows me to cycle through existing records....i've tried to play with the properties to stop it from cycling but to no avail.

3 - WeeklyScheduleDetailsfrm

This form opens the task/record in the subform (you have to click on the records ID) to open this form...

Issue = It opens the specified record but also cycles through exiting records ....i've tried to play with the properties to stop it from cycling but no luck....

Please help

LMAO ! ! ! you too ?!?! ...same here :)

I swear ..if another person asks me to write another SQL query today ...I'm gonna snap !

No worries ..whenever you can look at it is fine... I started to work on the login screen and other ...simple :) forms

Thank you in advance

Arv

UPDATE :)

1 - Loginfrm

I created a login form that auto fills fields on the EmployeeWklySchdfrm

and it WORKS ! ! ! ! well at least i think it does :)

2 - EmployeeWklySchdfrm

this is linked to the employeetbl and also has a subform based on a query of the WeeklyScheduletbl the subform is called WeeklySchedule subform

this is not displaying the correct data based on the Employee Name on the EmployeeWklySchdfrm.

3 - WeeklyScheduleEntryfrm
4 - WeeklyScheduleDetailsfrm

I'm not even going to bother with these 2 forms until I figure out the issues with #2

Here is the latest version ....

Sounds like you are progressing! That's fantastic! I still have not had a chance to look at it. Balancing January is almost done, so at least by tomorrow morning I should be able to look at it.
