Automatic tab

Here's my latest attempt. Still creating new records. Probably followed your advice wrong!

I thought you wwnted to create a new attendance record each time you selected a number in the combo box. If I've got that wrong, can you just explain in plain english what you are trying to do.

Apologies for making a mountain out of the proverbial molehill!

All I want is - on Monday morning, to open the "Monday" form. As I enter each 3 digit ID number followed by a CR/tab, it ticks the 'monday' box of that child's record on the details form, and returns the curser to the combo box for me to enter the next number.

hope that makes sense now.

right click on your form background (not detail, nor header/footer) and click tab order. you can manage it from there.
