Needs Help with Auto Numbers ASAP Please!

Hi GuYs,

I'm working on a system that has a form (Personal Information), to enter the personal information on an employee, with an Auto Number Primary Key (PK1), and a subform (Work Experience), to enter the work experience of an employee, with an Auto Number Primary Key (PK2). And I generated a report based on these 2 forms that has the Personal Information & the Work Experience of an employee.

The Problem is:
some time an employee doesn't have work experience, so the subform will be untouched thus it's will not generate a primary key (PK2). my problem that the report doesn't show the employees that don't have Work Experience because the Work Experience form is untouched and it doesn't have a Primary Key, how can I solve this?

is there any way to make the sunform generate a primary key as long as it's master form, i.e. (Personal Information) has data in it .

Hope I made myself clear, please email me or post them here.

Regards,
CS.

CSCS,

My guess is that you have 2 tables to store your data - 'Personal Information' for the main form and 'Work Experience' for the subform.

The solution to your problem lies in the query for the report. Look at the properties of the join between the 2 tables and select the option which includes all records from table 'Personal Information' and only those records fron table 'Work Experience' where the joined fields are equal.

Once you have altered the join as above all employees should appear on the report irrespective of whether they have work experience or not.
