Bash Obama Thread

Military bases are American Soil. Period. No arguments. It simply is.

If one of your parents is a U.S. Citizen and you are born outside of the country you can seek citizenship in America and you are a natural born citizen. Period.

Obama's mother was definitely a citizen. Obama is certainly a natural citizen.

If you are born in Canada or Mexico because mum is on vacation, or in the peace corps, or just visitting family in another country for a long enough time (we all know pregnant women should not fly, right?) Or pappy was deployed, or on vacation, or just visitting and got mum pregnant there, that child is an American citizen if they seek it.

EVEN IF Obama was born in Kenya, Japan, Mars, Ringworld, he is a natural American citizen because his mother was a citizen and obviously, he seeked citizenship.

Sought.

It makes me look honest. You have to admit when you have a problem - covering it up doesn't do anybody any good.

When I have a problem, I talk to the person, or in the this case find another way. :o

WHy are you embarrassed?

Maybe the wrong icon. (better)
This was thing was blown out of portion. This will be my last comment on this thread..............

Man, I have to get a life, this stuff is running me ragged.

It would be a lot less exhausting if you stopped trying to defend blatant lies as if they were truth.

Ofcourse I have faith in them! It was that idiot George W. who ignored their warnings about 9/11 - that's not their fault.

I don't know... I never had much faith in the FBI. They gave me a TS/SCI security clearance at 18 years old. Even AFTER asking all my neighbors and teachers all kinds of questions about me.

Of course, I screwed it up after a year or so and had it taken away from me.:o I could've been set had I left the army with that level of clearance.

My buddy at MP school was set up to get a nice little security clearance as he was going to be a dog handler.

Got a UAD/DUI on base and whewps ! Now he's just a normal MP.

Both the FBI and the CIA are part of the Executive Branch of the US government. They can't deny Obama security clearance since the FBI and the CIA work for the President. He can just over rule them.

There are no stamps on orignal birth certificates. Only on copies to certify that they are true copies. The birth certificate a parent receives following the birth of a child is an original. Since the Passport Office and other government agencies will not return submitted documentation, everyone gets a copy from the local registrar and submits that (Note: different in some juristictions).

So Bush has controlled the country for the past 8yrs, the republicans posting here blame the Democrats for the mess Bush has created and when a person outside the US dares to point out the obvious they're told to mind their own business, what a pity that philosophy didn't extend to the US in the first place!

Technically, using Statsman's statement, they can deny him - but he could overrule them.

Besides, who told Statsman to mind his own business?

Our government is much more complex than you give us credit for, Rich.
Everything does NOT rest on the head of the President. Many of our problems come from appointees - that means people we don't get to vote for - at places like the state department. Yes, they are appointed by the president, but not always the current president. I imagine there's still some goofballs at the Dept of Interior that were appointed by Carter.

Like I said Bush has been in charge for the last 8yrs

Besides, who told Statsman to mind his own business?
Who mentioned any names?

As one of the most knowledgeable ladies here says, it's time for change

OMG!
I just found out that Obama kidnaps white babies!

LOL! Good one, Alisa!

Yikes, you're right. We'd better get back to bashing Obama immediately before we completely forget our purpose for being here.

Did you hear that Obama's father is actually Osama bin Laden?

Osama bin Laden : Obama and Biden? Hmmm...you may be on to something there.

It is my understanding that there are many US government jobs that are Presidental appointments however, it is understood that when the President who appointed you leaves office, so do you.
When Bush leaves office in January, those people he appointed will be expected to resign. They will then be replaced by Obama/McCain appointees.
Many of Bush's appointees who did very good work (both of them :D) may be offered permanent jobs with the department where they currently work but they would still be expected to resign and then accept a civil service job.

For example, Ms. Rice will be required to resign as Secretary of State. She may however take a senior position with the State Dept. thereafter.

All cabinet members (Secretary of X) are presidential appointees and lose their appointments when the President loses his job. In the day to day operations of the country, the administration "hires" people who don't have to leave their "job" when the President leaves office. Additionally, the President (with the approval of the Senate) appoints federal judges who are appointed for life.

This, by the way, is why I don't want Obama as President, especially with no Senate oversight of his judge appointees. To be fair, it is also why some people don't want McCain as President.

As many people have pointed out, there are really very few real differences between the candidates. This is a big difference.

I am confused ...

Obama had a stance that "he wouldn't raise your taxes" if you made less than $250k a year - and that was for "95% of American workers."

A new video advertisement released by the Obama campaign says now that he promises tax cuts for making less than $200k a year - for "95% of working Americans". See the difference?

According to the 2006 IRS statistics published by the National Taxpayers Union, "95% of working Americans" only includes those making less than $153,542 per year.

Maybe that is why yesterday, Joe Biden said fewer people would receive a cut, that it "should go to middle class people – people making under $150,000 a year."

C'mon, who are they cutting it for? How much lower will this get?

If Charlie Rangel (Chairman of the House Ways and Mean Committee) has his way, and I am sure he will, you can fully expect this number to go down much further and since Obama is the most liberal and votes along party lines - he is not going to veto anything from these guys and let it go through. I am sure they will figure out a way to blame someone else.

I just am not getting it - maybe I am just that dense. All the major countries across the top nations in the world have elected conservative leaders in the past year or two. Is it because they have liberal leaders and realized that in terms of big government and liberal programs it doesn't work? Hard to figure out why we are going against their lessons learned and basing everything on 'hope' when they show it's the wrong path to go down.

The facts are out there, it is really not that hard to understand. He will not raise taxes for any single person making under 250k because he will extend the Bush tax cuts up to and including that tax bracket. He will cut taxes for families earning under 200k. http://www.barackobama.com/taxes/

Are you seriously bringing up Americas failure to learn from other countries mistakes? First of all, what "conservative" leaders are talking you talking about? Second of all, if you really want to talk about our failure to learn from other countries, then let's talk about our failure to follow their example in health care reform. Let's talk about our failure to follow their example of not starting "preemptive" wars. Let's talk about our failure to follow their example of protecting their workers.

I don't care what his web site says. The Bush tax cuts are GONE in 2011. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid Triumvarite will not allow them to stay in place - because they are "Bush's".
