Binding subforms to master forms (1 Viewer)

This should be so easy but it isn't working. I have added a subform to a master form and now I am trying to link the master and child fields but it keeps giving me a "Can't build a link between unbound forms." I never had to bind forms together before. Right when I added a subform they automatically binded together. I have looked and cannot find a field or way to bind them together.

Both the MainForm and the SubForm need to be bound forms. They must both have a RecordSource.

Access is not talking about "binding forms together" it's talking about both forms being "bound" i.e. bound to a record source, as Allan has indicated.
