In my database I have several letters (reports). In the reports, I need certain words in a text box to be bolded and other words italicized. For example I need only "Information Program" to be bolded

="According to DOD 52.1-R, Information Program"

I've tried <b> and /<b> before and after Information Program without success.

While I can make all the words in a text box bolded, what I really need is for certain words to be bolded or italicized. Is this possible?

What version of Access are you using? In 2007 and later, you can use rich text.

In earlier versions, it's doable but not that simple. I would probably just create multiple labels, format them the way I want it, and then place them next to each other.

I have Access 2013. Can you give me an example of rich text in a text box?

Got it now, thanks. First I changed the properties of the field from Plain Text to Rich Text, then add <b> to start bold and </b> to end bold (<i> and </i> for italics), such as,

"="According to DOD 52.1-R, <i>Information Security Program</i>"
