Hello,

I'm quite novice in Access and I think I want to do someting huge. Probably a bad idea, but we give it a try.

I have a table with on the one hand contains products which are identified by a category, a subcategory,a brand and a description. On the other hand I have a table which has information on promotions of those products. It contains the type of promotion, the subtype of promotion, promotional price, start date and end date of a promotion,... (there are over 5000 records in both tables). Now I would like to create a report that looks like a weekly calendar but in which I can choose certain criteria. For example I choose a certain brand in a certain category and would like to see all the promotions from 01/06/2003 until 01/09/2003.
If possible the calendar should have an the row side the information on product and type of promotion, and on the column side the weeks in the year. The inside of the report should be filled with rectangles that mention the start date and the end data if they fall in the selectiod time period.


Quite chaleging or not?
On which topic do I have to look to find something similar or can someone help me to take the first steps.

if i was u i would draw the report look and attach it here along with the db and you will probably get some help/ideas.
