I need an incoming (oldfashioned analog) telephone call to trigger, in an Access order handling system, display of the caller's data. Googling reveals a few commercial applications, with Access examples.

Has anyone implemented any such -or similar - application and can recommend one? Win XP, A2007.

Still need hints (and not-necessarily-free code and a modem that can handle Caller ID with DTMF) - someone must have committed something like this?

I am bumping this topic again (sorry for the disappointment that there so far is no sensible code to show -æ the number of views seems to indicate some interest from others).

Hi spikepl, can you explain how you see the procedure should proceed, maybe someone have some ideas then.

I am looking for experience and ready-made code rather than ideas.

The end result is to be that an incoming call causes the corresponding customer's data, already residing in the db, to be displayed in Access.

The intention is that an incoming call can trigger some event on the computer- preferably in Access but actually could be in any application which then would either call Access, or simply update some table with the incoming phone number.

Update: The code does not need to be free, so long as it works:D
