Thanks in advance!!!

Open your report, got to 'File' then to 'Send' and then choose your format. Then the report should appear in an email as an attachment. Then send it to whoever you want. Or were you after something more than that?

thanks alot!!!! but i'm trying to find a way to open the report directly to word, keeping all my report formatting (e.g. lines etc.)
...i think its got something to do with stopping it appearing as a rtf document???

Does it have to be Word? Snapshot will keep the lines etc, but email recipients will need this to be installed.

thats just it...loads of our customers won't have it installed....and my boss is 'insisting' he can't coope with any other format .. :o(

Is there no way that i can use word??

Thank you so much for responding!!!

Sarah

You can turn your report into a Word or Excel document by going to tools/office links/publish it with MSWord or tools/office links/analyze it with MSExcel. Unfortunately, your lines probably won't show up in the Word document (I'm not sure if there's a way to correct this) but otherwise it'll look pretty close to your report's set up. Hopefully, this will help.

thanks deborah..but the lines are VITAL to my reports!!

does anyone know anything about PDF format..ie. how could i get the report to be saved and e-mailed in this format????

DOes anyone know????
That would keep the original format right???

The reports are quite complex...lines and all!!

I have the same problem but have never found the answer other than tell the users to get snapshot viewer installed which the regulars users did but there is always the occasional person who want a report emailed and don't have this feature installed. I remember posting on this some time ago but didn't get any replies, would be interested to know though.

JustMaybe PDF will work

Essentially many of the PDF writers just "Print" a file to a default selected "printer" that is not a real printer but a file that is created in PDF format. This file is easily sent as an attachment and virtually everyone these days has a PDF reader. You have to buy the actual PDF writer from Adobe, but there are shareware (or even freeware) versions on the Web. Do a Google search for "PDF995" and you'll find one that works real well for me.
