Can a report execute generate a file

My users like to have a one click solution and not click the External Data words to get the report in a file on the PC.

Is it possible to click the report and the file will be generated on the PC?

Thanks Russ @scaninc.org

What's with all the blurb in the post?

Anyway to answer your question, create a macro to do what you want it to do.
Save the macro
Convert the macro to vba

place the results on an Onclick event of a command button.

Re: Can a report execute generate a file - macro??

all the blurb in the post - slipped in from a post on another forum.

So, there is a way (macro - vba) code that can take the output of my report within Access and send it down to the PC hard-drive without me clicking the Export to PDF format button or specifying the filename everytime.

I like to click run the report and the file would be on my PC. Is this possible?

Thx Russ
