Can Grow and Shrink in continuous subform fields automatically extend or shrink vertically based on the content.

I am not sure it can. possible with report.

With forms, the can grow/shrink properties only apply when the form is printed. As arnelgp suggests, providing you don't want to edit the data, use a report for your subform.
