I work for a global company. I wrote some VB to support some Excel files generated by SAP for the bean counters in the US use to create reports. Now I have people in Europe, Asia etc. interested in using this report generator, but all the currency is in $US. Understandably, people in other companies need currencies other than $US.
I have been looking at the MS web site and I can find info on the "Euro currency add-in" but it looks like I will need to address more than just converting $US to Euros. Before I get too distracted I thought I might see if some of the more experienced users out there could give me some tips or tell me things I might want to try, or avoid.
I would think many things, like changing exchange rates and dates the currencies were converted would be a factor in all this. Any thoughts and experiences anyone might want to share would be greatly appreciated.

You don't say what you actually want to do.
Does a user in India enter their currency in rupees and it gets coverted to dollars.
Or do you just want them to have their reports in rupees ?

If it's the former you have a problem with fluctuating exchange rates (most internationals have agreed rates for agreed periods though)

If it's the latter why can't their 'local' setting take care of the non-dollar amounts ? ie use a custom format for dollars to 'fix' it in place.

(My wife works for a 'global' company but they had to change their terminology to 'world wide' as aparently the US does not think that 'global' applies to them. :) )

Also double check currencies
where you have US$ or whatever here in the UK (and Europe i surpose) we now have to do USD and £ has to be GBP - so a little update refresh might not go amiss.
