Help!

I am trying to educate myself as well as my co-workers on how to use this database without corrupting it. What we have is an Access 2000 BackEnd with the data linked to an Access 2000 FrontEnd with all the queries and such.

Just now one of my co-workers had the main form opened to a record. With that opened, she opened a query to seach for the group. She realized that information in said record was not completely correct so she changed the data through the query then closed the query without saving. When she maximized the main form all of the data was corrupted. She had squares in some places, data cut off in other fields and what looked like data moving from one field to the next. When she tried to move to the next record it told her that she could not access the next record.

I have tried to delete the record from the BackEnd table and I get an error that says: "The search key was not found in any record"

Any ideas?

Create a back-end Copy before attempting any repairs.

Did you try compact and repair?

Did the person create a new query and then kill it? Or was it a pre-existing query?
Creating query objects is not a prefered method when there are multiple users on the database. This would be the same type of no-no as trying to make design changes to forms while users are logged on... BAD!!
