When importing a CSV file, sometimes a few characters that Access must not recognize are in the file. On import, Access simply stops importing the rest of the rows and acts as if it had imported everything. Has anyone come across this and created a solution to it? The character I have found most often is the square looking thing.

The square thing is a return (pressing the enter key). I encountered this before when transfering data to a new MDB, and I resolved it by putting it into notepad first, and making the neccessary adjustments to the format. If this is going to be a regular transfer of data, this is not a good option, but if it is a one time deal it can work as a work around to the problem.

If it´s a regular transfer of data, you can have a macro in word do it.

It´s not ideal, but it works. I once did this when importing a html source once every minute. (The idea itself turned out not working, but that was due to other things:mad: )
