Cheapest place to get Access?

Hey all

I'm looking to get Access 2007. Anyone know the cheapest place to get it? I'm in UK but if importing is cheaper I'd be interested.

Thought I would put my comment in on this one.

Are you a student?? If so, I believe that helps...it's probably a blessing to have an academic lincese on any piece of software, especially Microsoft's.

I wonder if you can get it on Ebay too??

Be careful about doing that. There are a lot of software pirates selling on Ebay and if you get a pirated copy, you are likely not going to be able to activate it, or if you can it might not be long before it gets shut down due to someone else using the same key.

The unfortunate thing is that most Microsoft retailers are forced (I believe that should not be allowed) into selling at roughly the same price. So, you can't find many really valid, good deals out there. There are a few, but not many. So, be careful so you don't go spending money on something you end up not being able to use.

Good point Bob, I don't do a lot of software business on Ebay...

I do know about the academic license though. For students, that's a heck of a good deal...close to 100% off the retail price.

But does academic license allow for commercial use? I know with other softwares, academic license are expected to be personal use only, so if you were going to do something with it, be it selling database to customers, designing it for your company, I'd want to check whether academic license allows it.

Well, I'm not a student So I guess I'll have to go with normal price, which is over £100

I downloaded a beta version of Enterprise 2007 and it is still working, updates and all ??
