Dear Friend,
I am Mrs. mary Maquettefrom Iceland, married to Late Engr Brown
Maquette{PhD} who worked with MULTINATIONAL OIL COMPANY EXXON AS A
DRILLING RIG SUPPLIER in Kuwait for 19 years before he died on the
22nd August 2008. We were married for twenty four years without a
child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.
Before his death, he deposited the sum of 2,142,728.00 US Dollars
with a bank In Canada and this fund is presently with the bank
awaiting my disbursement as beneficiary and next of kin to the funds. Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the
next Eight months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I
decided to donate this fund to a church, organization or good person
that will utilize this money in good faith.
l took this decision because I don't have any child that will
inherit this money. I kept this deposit secret till date, this is
why I am taking this decision. I don't think i will need any
telephone communication in this regard because of the
confidentiality of this transfer. Upon your reply I shall give you
the contact of the bank. I will also issue a letter of authorization
to the bank that will prove you the present beneficiary of this
money. Reply to my very confidential email address below
{marymaquette@live.com}
Await your responds and God bless you.

I'm trying to think of a funny reply, but I can't think of anything good. Help me out?

Yeah, that might work.

i wonder what this person would say if you told him/her (via nonsense in the english language) that her situation was a problem....?

Got to love Nigerian scams. I get them daily.

I found a site scambaiting Nigerian scammers last week and I have been laughing so hard at times that it actually hurt. The site is http://forum.419eater.com/forum/

They have all the e-mails they use to bait the scammers and get them in trouble. It might give you some ideas.

Wow those people have a lot of free time on their hands! That is a whole world I never knew about, thanks, I guess?

Given the content of the Email, I think its most interesting that the address is

@LIVE.com

it makes you wonder though how many people actually fall for that.

You should send a copy to the Domain Administrator or Hostmaster of live.com with a complaint they are hosting spammers.

Reading through that I had to keep reminding myself not to feel sorry for the scammer. :p

That was funny. But alas I was not able to finish, unlike him I have a job to do.

Cheers ya'll

Interestingly enough, the email did not come from the address listed in the email, it came from a really weird domain - Leslye.Gervasi@mba.wfu.edu

I tried to google mba.wfu.edu but didn't come up with anything immediately.

I have checked this out, and that Email designate belongs to the Wake Forest University in North Carolina, apparantly from one of their MBA graduates.

So it is an American who is doing the scamming, or they are routing their emails through this establishment.

So much for education

It's probably routing through there.
