Hi All
I have created a Split DB that works just dandy on my machine.
But when my users try to open the front end, they (very) briefly see the 'enable content' button before being forced to the 'File/New' menu.

I have checked that they have set my shared network drive as a trusted location.
As a test, I have also disabled all security on "ActiveX Settings" and "Macro Settings" in the trust center. This also had no effect.

Any ideas.

have you distributed a copy of your fe, one to each users?

Yup! I Suspect That It Has Something To Do With Win/office 32/64bit Combinations And Their Odbc Connection.
Failing That, Its A Permissions Issue On Ms Access.

If you are using ODBC connections I assume the back end is not an access database. Is that correct?

Have you installed the ODBC drivers for the back end and set up as connection for each user in their profile?

OK, so here's how it was set up
The back end had tables of its own, but it also referenced tables on a SQL server (connected via 32bit ODBC)
The users front end is using 64bit connection to the server.
At least that's what I think is happening.
I have rolled the access tables into the SQL db and users only connecting to one BE now.

try opening with the shift key held down, which will stop code running.

how does you app start - a default form? or an autoexec macro?

I would change to the latter, as you can put code in there to test things, and then open your startup form from there. Maybe the data tables aren't connected properly. Do they open directly?
