Hi there

My Access Db is working perfectly fine. But when I close it , it pops up message box saying ‘Database already exist’.
Any Clue?

Thanks
Danny

How are you closing it and do you have any code trying to save it?

I dont think so...If it exist how can i check it?
Sorry for being dumb..

Thanks
Danny

You're not dumb, you just don't have that knowledge. If you know how to go into the code window (a way to do it is just to go into design mode for a form and then click VIEW > CODE) and then scan through all of the code there to find something that might be there. But, I'm assuming that you might not know how to navigate through the code, nor look for what is the problem. So, maybe someone else has seen that before and can offer some hints.

This is a shot in the dark, but maybe it has something to do with the compact on close. To get there got to Tools-Options-General Tab, and unclick the box named "Compact on Close". Good Luck....Gregg

Thanks Greg. That was the issue. when i imported the data from backup i checked that option on.

Thanks everybody for help.
Danny

Glad to hear you got it sorted. Thanks for posting back with your results.
