Hi all,
i'm sure this has been asked in the past but not found anything using search so I have a bad feeling this is not possible. I'd like to know if it is possible to code a function that will upsize a table from Access 2003 to SQL server 2000 at the click of a button ? I'd like this to kick off without me having to remember to upsize the monthly generated table.

Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated.

Mitch....

I've never tried it, but you can look at TransferDatabase in Help and see if it does what you want. The real question might be why you have monthly tables, as that's often a sign of a normalization problem.

Thanks Paul.

Yes, the Data should all be going into one table but each month the record counts are in the 120K region and 'someone else' wants them broken down into little monthly tables for reasons unbeknown to me.

Thanks for the TransferDatabase tip.

I can't wait until someone asks for a year-to-date report or something similar that will require the tables all be joined up. SQL Server can handle those records in one table with ease. I'm guess I'm lucky that my higher-ups leave the "how" to me.
