I just brought some Colombian coffee for a change. It was quite a surprise, the first sip I nearly spat it out!

Not too sure now I've drunk the rest, do I have another cup?

Is that in an espresso machine?

I considered getting an expensive expresso machine, but from past experience, these things sit in the corner and never get used.

However I saw a salter coffee maker to go in Lidl for 20 quid. It looked cheap and plasticy but I thought, give it a go and if I don't like it I'll take it back.

(I couldn't find a Lidl link, so I've posted and Amazon link)

It's brilliant! Just put the ground coffee in the filter, enough water in the tank for one cup of coffee (about 400 ml) press the button, and 5 minutes later you have a cup of black coffee!

I got a Sage Dual boiler thing. Use it twice a day and has saved me during lockdown. Only problem is, occasionally it needs a repair. The last repair cost me £200! And 6 months later, I have another potential problem brewing, no pun intended.

It is a difficult decision knowing when end-of-life comes, or if you keep the thing going. Reminds me of the NHS!

It was a bit bitter, I do like it strong so it was fine for that.

I've had a second cup, and I'm getting used to it!

Same story with me and espresso. It had ruined my tate buds for regular coffee.

The only thing close enough is Death Wish Coffee but it only comes in Kuerig pucks and the green in me hates all the plastic waste.
