Columns won't total-use NZ? (1 Viewer)

I have two columns of amounts in my report that I get totals on. The columns don't always show a total and it happends when one of the totals contains all null values. How can I get those columns to total? I have been reading about the Nz function. Should I use that? I've been expiramenting with Nz and haven't been able to make it work.

Try:
=Sum(Nz(YourField,0))

Thank you! It worked. But I forgot to put the 0 at the end and it still worked. Should I go back and put it in or will that matter?

In certain instances the Nz() function will default to zero if you omit the second parameter. In other instances you will get an error. I always use the parameter so I don't have to remember where I can omit it and where I can't. It is also clearer to someone reading the program.
