Combine dates and text fields

hi, is it possible to combine dates and text fields into one field,

lets say i work on 12/01/09 13/01/09 and 14/01/09 and want to show those dates in one field as dates worked,

and while i was there i worked: i did this, i did that, and i did some more,

i have set my queries up to calculate the hours i worked and sum them for each contract but i can not get it to combine the above.

any help is appreciated as i dont even know if its possible

sorry, ideally i would like to data to show as 12/01/09,13/01/09,14/01/09 or 12/01/09 to 14/01/09 and i did this,i did that,i did some more

Are you going to be doing anything with the data in the future? or is it purely for historic purposes. What I mean is are you thinking of running queries based on work undertaken? If so you are going to find it difficult, if not impossible, to filter at a later stage.

no its to show on an invoice, another way i thought of my work easy but still not to sure is if i had:

12/01/09 - i did this
13/01/09 - i did that
ect....

but i am still unsure how i would do it

I think that you can just concatenate the controls into an unbound textbox on the report

that would work fine if i think if i invoiced per day but where i would work say 5 days on 1 contract i get multiple lines in my invoice query because the data can not be grouped, if that makes sense :s
