Combo Box Prefilling / Pushing Text

I use a lot of combo boxes to help users prefill information if possible. I noticed yesterday that sometimes, depending on the list, as the user keeps typing it will push the text to the right instead of trying to identify the correct value in the list as you continue to type.

I wish I had an example of two names where it did this but I didn't write it down at the time.

Has anyone ever seen this and is there a workaround for this?

Rube,

Are you saying that it happens all the time on a particular
combo. I haven't seen or heard of that happening.

Maybe you could recreate that combo box.
Or compact/repair the database.
Or import all objects into a New, blank db.

Thanks for the reply Wayne. Yes, it was the strangest thing, it caught my eye because we are getting ready to deploy this app, and this happened everytime I put in this particular client, which was very close in spelling the first four letters. I did not write it down and have been trying to remember without success. But everytime I did it when it happened, it would do this.
