command button question

I tried to create on my Data access page but it just appears on the page. It does not come up with the wizard or whatever. does someone know why?

I'm not sure I understand your problem from what you said, but I think I can get the drift of what you meant.
If you were trying to create a button on a form and the wizard didn't pop up then the Control Wizards button is not pressed.
This button is the button with the magic wand in it in the Toolbox menu.
The Control Wizards button appears under the cursor button.
This is all true for my version of Access, so in your version things might be slightly different.

i do see the button, it is pressed in. and this is in a data access page. just 2 days ago it the wizard came up and would let me choose from operations and navigation(which brings up another question, why won't it let me run a query or do all the things i can in a form).

Because I tried it on my version of Access(2002) and it gives me the wizard, but limits it to record navigation and record operations.

positive. its pressed in. the icon w/ the wand. i've even deselected it and reselected it. still nothing.
