Compact & Repair Database Error

When I try to compact and repair my ACCESS 2000 database I get the following error mesaage:

"The Miscosoft Jet Database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

All of my tables are local and I am the only one using the database.

Any ideas?

Hi,

try creating a new database and import all of your objects to this new database and then try the compact/repair again.
