Is there a way to control Conditional Formating in code?

I have a Form (DataSheet), when a check box is unchecked two other fields have a yellow background. Works fine.

However I would like to delete, turn off, not use Conditional Formating sometimes.

I have gotten disable to work but it grays out and locks the field. I only wish to turn conditional formating off for these two fields.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

I think the disable (if you're referring to the button Enable/Disable on the conditional formatting) actually refers to control's Enabled property, not the formatting itself.

I could be wrong but my guts say this may have to be done in VBA if you just want to remove the conditional formatting... But why?

Include the switch for turning the formatting on or off in the condition expression.

For example you will have a checkbox or toggle button to turn on the formatting. Your conditional formatting expression will have an IIf statement that defeats the condition if the setting is off.
