Hi,

I created a report in Access that looks something like this (please see the attached zip file).
Most of the time, under the Event column, there is only one value per each CallSign. However, sometimes there is more than one. In my example, CallSign Cc (marked with blue rectangle) has three events (marked with a red rectangle). All other data for CallSign Cc is the same.
I would like to use Conditional Formatting in order to avoid showing duplicate data if a CallSign has more than one event. I would like to keep the first row of a CallSign and hide all other data except for the different events (please see the desired section in my attached file).
I didn't figure out how to compare a line in the report to the line above it (based on the CallSign column).
Any ideas how to solve that issue will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support.

If all 3 records were identical, you could change the report record source to set Unique Values = Yes
That's SELECT DISTINCT .... if you are using SQL view

EDIT:
However as your Event field varies, that won't work
Instead change to an aggregate query and set the Event field to First
Conditional formatting isn't the answer

isladogs and MajP - thank you both for your comments. I'll try implementing your suggestions on Monday and will report if it helped.

I was able to come up with an adequate solution, based on the link that MajP posted and little experimenting.

In my report, I used the 'Hide duplicate' option for the CallSign column to hide duplicate CallSign. Than I used the following statement in Conditional Formatting to hide all the other duplicate fields:
Not([CallSign].[isvisible]).
MajP - Thanks a lot for providing the useful link.
