I'm using Acc97 to design a db that'll be converted to A2k where I work. I need to know whether or not I can count on what I think A2k conditional formatting is capable of doing.

I have a '97 subform that displays the first 10 records of a ~180 record recordset the user can scroll through from the first to last record.

Would A2k's conditional formatting of a subforms' controls display the conditional format (highlight) as the user scrolls from the first record to the last record in the subform?

The reason I ask is the work around conditional formatting I'm using in '97 will not display a highlighted field until the user stops scrolling; then the highlights appear.

Thanks!

Doug.

Conditional formatting can be applied to the current record. If during the scrolling process, the cursor is never actually placed in a record, then the record will never be current and therefore never be highlighted.
