Working on creating a process within Access to then export into a .csv file and upload into Magento 2. I have searched and searched for a tool to help create the configurable records by using the simple records outside of Magento, but no luck. Anyone here have any knowledge on what the best way to create configurable records from simple records in Access? I have a sample file from Magento that i'm using for reference. I have no problem manipulating/formatting the simple records, creating the configurable records has me at a stand still. Thoughts please.

Can you show us an example?
I looked at your link but I dont really want to learn Magento. Exporting to a csv is relatively simple.

So what was arnel doing for you.?
I've just downloaded his db, and for once i could open it.:)
Running query2 as instructed gives a configurable record? Ok it might be basic at the moment, but something to work from?

Absolutely agree, so the question becomes for me anyways with my lack of knowledge and expertise......is there a tool out there that can do this? Or does it need to be done on a field basis......This is just one field...here are examples of what the other results need to be....here is what the categories field looks like, depending on if it is a regularly priced item, clearance item, sale item......the other fields are in the .csv file or in my case Access db that it goes and pulls and does what Arnels example.

Well I'd sincerely doubt it, which is why there is a market for software that interacts/builds data for the likes of Amazon.
That excel file I uploaded in the other thread was similar to Magento I would have thought?, and when I was being escorted around the premises, I could see myself doing what you are trying to do. :)

I however would say it is doable, providing the DB structure is correct, and the 'exact' requirements understood. Then again, isn't everything?

Sadly beyond my limited knowledge, so I will bow out.
TBH if this was available, it would be reasonably expensive. You need to consider all the hours needed to get it working and be data driven?
Not a DIY task at all I would have thought?
Good luck with it anyway.

Well thanks for learning something today! Yes it's very doable and I'm just asking questions to get some input. I spent plenty of time building the DB, various mapping exists, append queries, etc.......so the bones are there and as I said in my first post configurable records. This doesn't seem to be a term know by many in Access as it is a Magento term. There probably is an Access term that is comparable such as configure????? We do have a good start with Arnels example, but as I went back to get a little deeper it was obvious to me that more needs to be done......I believe there is a product called magnami but don't want to use it because an FBI article I read on it......Anyways..appreciate the time.....
