Continuous form - conditional formatting with more than 3 criteria

Hi,

My set-up: Access 2007, Windows 7

Apologies if this has been asked in the past - I have searched but cannot find any similar posts.

Is there a way to format controls (such as textboxes) on a continuous form in Access 2007 based on more than 3 criteria? As many will know this is the limit for conditional formatting, and I have encountered several situations where it would be very useful to exceed this number.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

I've been waiting, ever since I found out that 2010 allowed 50 conditions, for someone to post asking how to have more conditions!

Not yet sorry... more conditions was for 2007 ie over 3.

Hi all,

Thanks for the suggestions. Although it is possible to modify the conditional formatting using VBA unfortunately the limit of 3 conditions still applies. The advantage is that you can allow the user to modify the conditions.

Stephen Lebans wrote some very clever code to do this, but I could never get this to work. The colours appeared correctly to begin with, but would remain fixed. Any thoughts on how to get this to work?

Sadly I think it will be a long time before work catch up to Access 2010! Dream on having 50 conditions!

why as many as 50?

i can't imagine anyone could remember that many different settings.
