Converting .dat files (1 Viewer)

Hello!

I have a large .dat file that I need to import into Access but the .dat file type isn't listed in my options and didn't see it listed as an option in the value pack. I am using Access97.

Does anyone have experience or suggestions converting a .dat file into Access? Thank you for your time.

Try importing it as a text file!

.dat is not a standard file format which is why it is not supported by Access. If the file is a fixed format text file, change its extension to .txt. If it is a delimited format, change its extension to .csv.

It worked renaming the extension. Thanks to all!
