Hi
Is there any way of Copying multiple cell selections from Excel to be pasted into another program. (Like an ERP system data entry screen)
The cells to be copied may not be equal
Eg. A1 to A5
A2 to A13
A2 to A7 etc

The data then needs to be pasted in running order with no spaces between the copied cells.

Any help or advice if this is possible will be most appreciated
Tks

all depends on whether the system allows pasting of values so not really possible to answer

Hi thanks for reply
Yes the program does allow pasting from excel

The issue I have is that I can paste from excel to it when all the cell selections are equal
Eg
A1 to G1
A2 to G2 etc

But excel won't let me copy multiple cell selections to copy in same program

Eg
A1 to G1
C2 to E2
A3 to G3 etc

if you are trying to copy/paste those 3 rows at the same time, I very much doubt that is possible.

If the ERP program is Access, there are ways it can be done. You would still copy an entire range to encompass all the values but without headings into a temporary table, then analysis the table row by row to identify what data is required and using multiple append queries to update Access.

I've used it for example where a supplier sends in an invoice - invoice number/date/etc at the top, then the invoice rows.
