Coronavirus - are we all doomed? (2 Viewers)

Get some sandbags and barricade yourself in. Good for floods too.

Last night, I was watching on YouTube preppers with their underground bunkers. :D
the rich hiding in underground ANYHING won't help them. an army of stifled citizens overpowers even 1,000 rich people.

Not to mention even the best underground bunkers have AIR supplies. Intakes and exhausts are only two of the many issues.

I think he also called it, "Kung Flu."

I am now a proud owner of a face mask.

It is meant for industrial use but I believe they are effective. Its just that they don't have the insurance for medical use, or something like that.

A friend of mine's FB post:

Coronavirus Pandemic, day 16.
If anyone is still out there, we're alive but struggling. Food is running low. Down to only 459 days worth. My hands are super sanitized and my butt is super clean. Down to 1599 rounds of ammo (dropped 1 round down the heat vent while doing daily inventory). Power still on, but for how long? Missing human interaction but I have my dogs.. for now.. (I'm soaking their food in BBQ sauce in an attempt to marinate them from the inside in case I have to eat them) . I fear dark days ahead. News is all bad. Neighbors have attempted to leap from windows to their death, (or near death... most have single story homes so they are badly bruised). Blew through most Netflix series so may have to rewatch some again..Basic Survival is a definite challenge. I vow to persevere to the end, I am a survivor! Please, if there is life out there, communicate with me to help preserve my sanity...

I'm getting a bit sick and tired of people moaning on. It seems everyone wants the government to bail them out - like restaurants, shops, buses, you name it. You need to remember the government is not a bottomless pit of money.

Now, and worst of all, we have these women bleating on about schools closing from tomorrow, which means the children will be at home so mother has to look after them, and, oh dear they can't go to work, so they want government to cover their lost pay! Come on, women should be looking after children, that's their job. If you can't stay at home and do it, you shouldn't have had the kids, if you can't do it without working, you should have considered this before the drunken night of pleasure.
The government can't cover everything, get used to it and shut up banging on and moaning, that's your job, deal with it and don't expect free handouts and free money.

the 2nd point is valid. the 1st is bull$hit. If a femanist read this rant of yours Colin, they would bust down your down door. Women do plenty in the world of work, and they contribute a great deal. In a prior time, yes, women would stay at home and look after the kids, but in this day in age it's not that common anymore. If you have traditional values like I do, you might find yourself left out in the cold my good friend. =)

as for bailouts....the current non-sense surrounding the virus has caused our political leaders to issue unemployment benefits to almost everyone. so as far as being out of work, there should be no worry about that over here in the USA. at least not in my state of Iowa or the one above me.

Its not a rant, just an observation on current life trends. I have no objection to women working, I saw a woman driving a bus the other day, she was quite good as no reversing was involved.
What I do object to is the lack of thought by parents as to possible scenarios and how to deal with them.
Throughout nature, it is usually the female who raises the offspring, the male role is to provide for the family. If we went back to those values, maybe there would be more thought about being sensible. If you can't afford the kids, don't have them and don't expect the rest of us to bail you out.
You've made your bed, now lie in it - preferably alone.

well that's a good point, Colin. but you have to realize what kind of shit the corporate world produces. America and capitalism is a serious disease, and the only reason why it is, is simply because ignorant people and unsuspecting people don't understand what corporations want, or how to use their products to better their own lives. they want you to buy, first and foremost, that's it. if you don't, they'll coerce you into doing it. it's a fact of life.

England is just as guilty as America, but the shit all stems from here. but like everything, there are good and bad things that can come out of it. I read an article a while back about a married man and woman in Germany, I believe, that sent their kid to live with someone else because they could not afford to feed or give him the life that they knew he deserved. now THAT is a sure fire sign of smart parents!

We are straying from my point.
I'm saying that people / businesses can't expect the government to bail them all out, it will cost hundreds of billions, if we can, then great. We have to support the NHS hospitals and GP surgeries as a priority, we also have to ensure the supply of goods and food is maintained as well as law and order. How on earth they organise the priorities is beyond me - I'm not an economist or expert. I do know the economy has to be supported, billions already wiped off the stock market already is not good. So some mother expecting a handout that they can spend on booze and fags is not a priority.
The key thing to remember, the Bank of England is not a bottomless pit, printing billions more money will only devalue the pound and it's already sunk on the money market against other currencies.
There's no doubt, the effects of the virus pandemic will be far reaching for years to come, we will all have to pay in the end one way or another.

I guess that explains why you have a LinkedIn account.

But you are ok with the NHS right? Thought so.

FAGS? I'm surprised Jon has not censored that one. That's even worse than what I've posted and been called a "troll" for. How pissed off are you in your personal life, anyway Colin?

I guess that explains why you have a LinkedIn account. [/QUOTE]didn't I add to that? America is not the biggest issue. the biggest issue is the human flaw that no one gets. and it is the reason why corporations do what they do, and why the poor people buy from them. same problem. different people.
