Correct evaluation of 'greater than'?

This is also a problem when comparing any alpha revision to '0' (zero), as they will all come out greater than zero.

Thus, your solution of adding 1 to the numeric component is critical to the operation.
 
Actually 0 should be valued as 1. Always add 1 whenever numeric component is present, otherwise just the fractional value of the letter....

A = 0.037037037
0 = 1
0A = 1.037037037

so it comes out A < 0 < 0A...
