Hi alexkong2003,

Sorry for not getting back earlier, playing tennis last night.

One thing you might want to watch-out for is that this database was originally Access 97. I can tell this from the VBA code. I saw a "acView" amongst it, should re-code this as the "ac....." functions have been taken out.

Might come across other errors due to this?

Good Luck with it, glad to hear it is running and glad to have helped. :p

No problem Robert.... and thanks for your advise... Now my program run really smooth. so i will try not to change it too much to prevent any critical problem heppening again, at the same time i really have to study more and more... due to shallow knowledge of my access programming.

All the best Robert!:D (And Nice to meet a Great Guy like you. )

Hi alexkong2003,

The beauty of having the database split is that you can develop and trial changes without inteferring with other users, you have leaped over the most critical hurdle now to make a change is easy as you just make changes to your mdb (front end), compact and repair and then make another mde. Important to keep track of changes, maybe version numbers for your mde's.

Usually I get someone to trial (if possible, best with the heaviest user) the new mde and if they are happy then you can proceed with upgrade to all (just reeplace all old front end mde files). :p

I have found this forum so helpful and happy to give anyone a hand as I have learnt a lot from others as well as them helping me.;)

Hi Alexkong2003,

In my second last post I have mislead you, sorry.

I had a quick look through your code and realised that the old 97 functions were ones that were for example A_PREVIEW, A_FORM, A_FORMBAR and so on.

I do not think you have any of these? I remember making a mistake in the post as I am just upgrading a 97 to 2003, with the same problem. ;)

So the "acView" is current and sorry for giving you the wrong advice.:p
