Running 2007. In 2003, to make a shortcut for an object, all I had to do is right click and place the short cut where i wanted.

I can't seem to find anyway to do it in 2007

Anybody have any clues?

For some reason when I open these databases with Access 2007 and right-click
any report or any objects including macros, the option to create a desktop
shortcut does not appear in the menu. Is it located somewhere else? Did I
turn something off? Is there some other method built-in?

Just an update. I have drag the object over to the desktop. Then when I click on it, it give me an error message, that I don't have permissions to open the database.

So bottom line I must have click something in the background, but I sure can't find it.

Any ideas?

Quick Update.
It has to do with my security permissions. I have the database secured so no one can come in the back door as "ADMIN" user. I can not even link tables.

Still working on the issue

I needed to create a report shortcut, so I dragged the icon for the report into the folder where I wanted the shortcut to appear. I closed the database and then clicked on the shortcut. The database opened, and then the report opened up.
