If I have a column of numbers reading 1 to 100 that is listed in one field. How do you make the details section to read across and down columns instead of having it read one long column, and have the page header and group headers remain normal. Thanks I hope this make sense.

llkhoutx, I hate to be critical but your answers have been less than useful.

Castaway, go to file>>pageSetup where you'll find the columns option. You can choose from two different methods of creating columns - accross or down. If your data is only one column wide, you can probably get 5 columns across.

I see the page setup and the Column tab, and it is useful in labels. But I am trying to have the page header and group header stay at 8 1/2 inch width and change the the Details section to be 1 inch in with and across and down. Thanks.

You can accomplish this by creating a subreport that is multi-column and placing it in the detail section. That way all the other sections will be full page width and only the detail will be multi-column. I have several reports like this and it works fine.
