As I move my cursor it highlights each letter. How do I fix it?

check if there is a "highligher" code on the MouseMove event of the form or control.

I am doing this as an experiment. The answer below was generated by AI. Let me know if it helped at all.

If the cursor in Microsoft Access is highlighting each letter as you move it, it sounds like you may have accidentally enabled the overtype mode. To disable overtype mode and return the cursor to its normal behavior, follow these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Access and go to the Home tab.
  2. Click on the Editing group and then click on the Overtype button.
  3. This will toggle the overtype mode on and off. Make sure that the button is not highlighted, indicating that overtype mode is disabled.
Alternatively, you can press the Insert key on your keyboard to toggle the overtype mode on and off. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Insert key would be a good bet? :)
In fact it does exactly that behaviour, but would do it for ALL db's?

I think the answer to that depends on whether you exited from Access app #1 before opening Access app #2.

Fn+Ins Highlights, Fn + Ins again removes highlight
Doc Lord willing, I will be coming your way in March. You going to be in town?

Is it possible you changed the setting in Access?
