Data in Text field changing to symbols???

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has come across this problem before.
I have a table that contains text and memo fields. I have no problems entering data directly into the table or via a form; however when I return to the table some of the records are unreadable as the data in them has changed from normal text to some kind of chinese symbols.
This isnt happening to all the records and I cant seem to find a common link between that records that are having problems.
Can anybody shed any light on this at all?

I suspect this is a unicode issue - Thats about all I can add...

I would do a personal walk around to each machine and add data - maybe a pattern will surface...

I had the same problem some time ago but not too sure what was wrong. I do know it wasn't to do with indiviual machines. Have you copy and pasted anything into the field recently?
Or, you or someone has changed the memo field characteristics? is it only with data entered recently?
